1. Who we are

KeyCAD (“KeyCAD”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides a platform for turning CAD files into images, video, and interactive 3D. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, what we do not, and how we handle your information when you use our website and service (the “Service”).

2. What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the Service:

• Account and contact details you provide, such as your name, email, company, and role when you join the waitlist or create an account.
• Billing information handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
• Usage and diagnostic data, such as log data, device and browser information, and feature usage, used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

3. What we do not collect

We do not collect, store, or retain your CAD files, models, geometry, textures, or project content. Your source files stay yours. They are processed only to produce the outputs you request, are never used to train any AI model, and are never sold or shared for advertising.

4. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to provide and maintain the Service, process payments, respond to you, send account and service messages, protect against fraud and abuse, and improve KeyCAD. Any data we use to improve the Service is aggregated or de-identified so it cannot reasonably be traced back to you. We do not sell your personal information.

5. How the AI works

Some features use AI to suggest materials, framing, or scenes. The AI receives only an abstracted summary of your scene, enough to make a suggestion, and never your files, geometry, textures, or images. Nothing you upload is used to train any AI model.

6. Service providers

We rely on trusted providers to operate KeyCAD, including Clerk for authentication, Stripe for payments, and cloud infrastructure providers for hosting. They process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments, and only as needed to provide their part of the Service.

7. Where your data is processed

We store and process the account data described above in the United States.

8. Data retention and deletion

We keep account and contact data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time, and we will remove it except where we are required to keep it.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children’s privacy

KeyCAD is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above, and your continued use of the Service means you accept the updated policy.
